Daily Bible Verse ~ John 15:1-2

John 15:1-2 1“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit.

In these challenging times, Jesus calls us to bear much fruit. Many try to find joy, peace, and fullfillment in things other that the Lord. As a believer in Christ, holding onto the vine will not only bring us peace in Jesus, but it will also allow us bear fruit by sharing the hope we have in our Savior.

God has promised to keep in “perfect peace” those whose minds are stayed on Him. A mind that stays set on the things above doesn’t get distracted by the things of the world.

Apply It:

Are you worried about the currents events going on today? are you dwelling on the things of the world or have you placed your trust in Jesus today? Set aside some time to reconnect with the vine and draw your hope and strength fron Jesus.

Prayer:

Lord, thank you for the promise that you will give perfect peace to those who seek after you. Please help me to stay attached to the vine so that fruit will be produced through my life to those around me.
