As a child, I remember picking daisies and playing the “He loves me, he loves me not” game. I would try to predict the outcome by counting the petals, yet somehow, it always ended with “He loves me.”
I know He loves me—the Bible tells me so, and I believe it. But today, the question I ask isn’t, “Does God love me?” Instead, it’s “Do I have enough faith?”
My thoughts go back and forth: faith, little faith, faith, little faith…
Every time fear creeps in and I find myself mentally tearing apart a flower, I remember Genesis 22:14. This is the moment when God called Abraham to lay his son, Isaac, on the altar as a sacrifice. It’s hard to comprehend. God specifically says, “Abraham, take your only son, whom you love, and offer him.” He understood the weight of what He was asking Abraham to give up. He knew the struggle Abraham would face—just as He knows how difficult surrender can be for us.
Yet, by faith, Abraham obeyed, trusting that God would provide. And He did! Abraham’s faith was tested, and he proved faithful in the face of an unimaginable request. He didn’t know how it would all unfold, but he knew that God was able (Hebrews 11:17).
Today, I am laying everything—my family, my friends, my security, my possessions—on the altar. I trust that God will provide exactly what I need, exactly when I need it. He is able!
So today, I choose surrender.
By His grace and mercy,
For my good and His glory.
Do you hear God’s voice calling you to surrender? Do you trust that He will provide? Do you believe that He is able?
Faith, little faith, faith, little faith… Choose faith. Trust and obey.
God loves you.
